How the job runs

How a Lift Actually Runs

  1. Step 1: Tell us the job

What it weighs, where it has to go, and what is between the two. A photo from the street answers most of it faster than a conversation.

  2. Step 2: We confirm the plan

Which crane covers the weight at that distance, where the truck can set up, and what the ground under the outriggers is made of.

  3. Step 3: We agree a window

A realistic arrival window, not an optimistic one. In summer that usually means an early start, because a rooftop is dangerous by mid morning.

  4. Step 4: Briefing before the pick

A short walk with whoever is in charge. What is going to happen, where nobody stands, and who calls a stop. It takes five minutes.

  5. Step 5: The lift

Set up, level, load checked, controlled placement. Where the tolerance is tight we take the time to land it exactly, not near enough.

  6. Step 6: Clean close-out

Walk it with you before we pull the outriggers. Site left as we found it, and documentation if you need it for a record.

Common Questions

What areas does HCW Crane Service cover?

We are based in Lake Havasu City and work across Mohave County and La Paz County, including Desert Hills, Topock, Golden Shores, Parker, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Bullhead City and Kingman. Distance is measured by road, and we will tell you honestly whether same day is realistic for your location.

Do you provide the crane with an operator?

Yes. Every crane comes with an operator. We do not rent bare equipment. The person responsible for the lift is the person running the machine.

What size cranes do you operate?

A 22-ton and a 40-ton mobile boom truck, with reach up to 142 feet. Which one goes to a job depends on the weight of the load, how far the crane has to reach to get to it, and how much room there is to set up.

Can you lift HVAC units and rooftop equipment?

Yes, and it is our most frequent work. We handle package units, air handlers, condensers and rooftop mechanical equipment, including removal of a failed unit and placement of the replacement in the same visit.

Do you offer same day or emergency crane service?

The phone is answered around the clock. Whether a crane can roll immediately depends on where the truck is and what is already booked, and we will tell you straight away rather than leaving you waiting.

What else do you lift besides HVAC, trusses and spas?

Shipping containers, machinery, truck loads that need unloading, boats and vehicles, roofing and solar materials, signs and poles, pool equipment and landscape boulders. If it has a known weight and a place to land, describe it and we will tell you which crane covers it.

Ready to schedule your lift?

Tell us about your project. We will confirm capacity, access and next steps, and we will be honest about timing rather than optimistic.
